Who We Are
I’m Chad Buhlin, founder of Buhlin Asset 
Management, a company devoted to developing Asset Management capacity within organizations. My mission is simple: to be the one number municipalities in Manitoba can call for all things Asset Management.
With a long-standing background in construction engineering and municipal operations, I bring hands-on experience to the table. From inspecting water and sewer projects to managing road reconstructions and even leading Public Works for a municipality, I’ve been in the trenches. I know firsthand the critical role infrastructure plays in delivering essential public services, and I understand the challenges municipalities face in managing these assets effectively.
At Buhlin Asset Management, our guiding principle is clear: building a better future, today.
Why This Blog?
I started The Asset Angle because I saw a gap. Many small and medium municipalities struggle with the internal capacity to develop Asset Management programs on their own. This blog is my way of providing a resource—a place where municipalities can find practical information, fresh ideas, and real stories from across the country about how AM practices can make a difference.
Through this platform, I hope to educate organizations on the value of AM, inspire them to take action, and eventually foster a community where municipal staff, councils, consultants, and AM professionals can exchange ideas and learn from each other.
